Lauren Resh is wearing a traditional Irish step dance costume. Her teacher, Rachel Knutson, said the costume’s elaborate and ornate design and bright colors are inspired by the “Book of Kells,” an illuminated Irish manuscript, in Latin, of the New Testament’s four gospels transcribed by Celtic monks. The “Book of Kells” also contains many detailed illustrations. Resh will dance onstage with Irish music quartet The Chieftains tonight at Orchestra Hall. (Photo by Meryn Fluker)
