Police calls for Sept. 17 to 24

The Prior Lake Police Department responded to the following incidents between Sept. 17 and 24. This is not a comprehensive list of all incidents to which the department responded.

Accidents

Sept. 17: A 24-year-old Prior Lake man was involved in a hit-and-run crash near Eagle Creek and Duluth avenues. It was reported that the man was stopped at the intersection of Eagle Creek and Duluth avenues waiting to make a left turn when his vehicle was rear-ended by a vehicle that left the scene.

Sept. 18: A 29-year-old Brooklyn Park man was cited for driving after suspension after being involved in a property-damage crash with a 45-year-old Minnetonka woman in the parking lot of Mystic Lake Casino, 2400 Mystic Lake Drive.

DWI

Sept. 20: A 19-year-old Prior Lake man was arrested and jailed for fourth-degree driving while impaired (DWI) after police made a traffic stop near Highway 13 and Franklin Trail. One of the passengers in the vehicle, an 18-year-old Lakeville woman, was cited for minor consumption of alcohol. A second passenger, a 20-year-old Elko man was cited for minor consumption of alcohol and open bottle in a motor vehicle.

Sept. 20: A 21-year-old man from Savage was arrested and jailed for fourth-degree DWI after police made a traffic stop in the 16800 block of Duluth Avenue.

Theft

Sept. 17: A DVD player and GPS unit valued at $550 were reported stolen from an unlocked vehicle in the 5500 block of Amblewood Drive.

Sept. 18: A gas drive off valued at $45 was reported at Holiday Gas Station, 16800 Duluth Ave.

Sept. 19: A trumpet valued at $400 was reported stolen from the band area at Hidden Oaks Middle School, 15855 Fish Point Road.

Sept. 23: Burglary was reported at Maui Wowi, 16210 Eagle Creek Ave. It was reported that $160 cash was stolen from Maui Wowi after hours. There was no sign of forced entry.

Driving violations

Sept. 17: A 49-year-old Prior Lake man was cited for driving after cancellation- inimical to public safety after officers conducted a traffic stop near Ridgemont and Main avenues.

Miscellaneous

Sept. 18: A 28-year-old St. Paul man was arrested and jailed for fifth-degree possession of a controlled substance that tested to be methamphetamines after police responded to a narcotics complaint at Mystic Lake Casino.

Sept. 20: A 26-year-old Prior Lake man was cited for littering after police saw the man throw a wrapper out of a car window near Franklin Trail and Highway 13.
