A CaringBridge Web site has been created to share the progress of Nick
Hagadorn, the 11-year-old Shakopee boy hit by an alleged drunken driver
on Monday night. You can view photos and leave messages for Nick at www.caringbridge.org/visit/nickhagadorn. [1]
On Thursday afternoon, Jessica Reider, a spokeswoman for Nick's family,
said he is still in critical condition at Hennepin County Medical
Center.
On her way home from the hospital on Wednesday night, Reider said the family is asking for people to pray.
“It’s touch and go," she said. “He’s a fighter and he’s fighting right now. Keep us close
right now in your prayers."
A fund has been established to help cover Hagadorn's medical costs. Donations can be made at any Wells
Fargo in the Twin Cities to the Nick Hagadorn Fund, care of Jessica
Reider.
Michael Chance, a schoolmate of Nick's, is planning to sell
beverages and snacks to raise money for his friend from 10 a.m. to 3
p.m. Saturday in the parking lot of Pearson Elementary School.
Other children are invited to bring tables to the school on Saturday
and sell goods as well. They will also be able to leave messages for
Nick.
The Chance family has created a flyer for kids who may want to set up lemonade stands in their neighborhoods.
