For the 14th year in a row the Shakopee Mdewakanton Sioux Community will host a free fireworks display on Friday, July 4 at 10 p.m. at the Pow Wow grounds to celebrate the holiday.

The Pow Wow grounds are located on Dakotah Parkway in Shakopee, just south of County Road 42 between County Road 83 and County Road 17.

The display is open to the public. The fireworks will go on, rain or shine, unless there is severe weather. The display is put on by the SMSC Public Works Department.

The fireworks can also be seen from various locations on the Shakopee Mdewakanton Sioux Community, including Mystic Lake Casino Hotel, Playworks, and Dakotah! Sport and Fitness parking lots.
