The Prior Lake Police Department responded to the following incidents between April 23 and 30. This is not a comprehensive list of all incidents to which the department responded.
Accidents
April 25: A one-car accident was reported in the 16400 block of Duluth Avenue. An 87-year-old Prior Lake woman fell asleep at the wheel sending her car off the road, hitting mailboxes and a street sign. There were no injuries.
Theft
April 25: Theft through fraudulent transactions was reported at Holiday Gas Station, 4460 Fountain Hills Drive. It was reported that fraudulent carwash coupons were used at the store. The case is under investigation.
Vandalism
April 28: Vandalism was reported on the outside walls of Twins Oaks Middle School, 15860 Fish Point Road. A report was taken.
April 28: Vandalism was reported on the outside walls of Hidden Oaks Middle School, 15855 Fish Point Road. A report was taken.
Fraud
April 27: Fraud was reported at Mystic Lake Casino, 2400 Mystic Lake Drive. It was reported that a $500 counterfeit check was passed. The case is under investigation.
Warrants
April 25: A 35-year-old Prior Lake man was arrested and jailed for a contempt-of-court warrant out of Dakota County in the 4400 block of Village Lake Drive.
April 27: A 29-year-old Prior Lake man was arrested and jailed for a warrant for no Minnesota driver’s license out of Scott County near 140th Street and Pike Lake Trail.
April 28: A 20-year-old Burnsville man was arrested and jailed for two warrants out of Scott County near Highway 13 and Conroy Street.
Liquor Law Violations
April 27: An 18-year-old Prior Lake man was cited for minor consumption of alcohol near Lilac Lane and Wilderness Trail.
Driving violations
April 26: A 45-year-old Prior Lake man was cited for driving after suspension and no proof of insurance near Highway 13 and Fish Point Road. The man was arrested and jailed for a warrant out of Steele County.
Miscellaneous
April 24: Police received a call for a suspicious vehicle in the 4100 block of C J Circle. As police arrived three boys fled the scene. The boys later returned. A 16-year-old Prior Lake boy was cited for fleeing on foot. A 17-year-old Prior Lake boy was also cited for fleeing on foot. A 17-year-old boy from Savage was cited for fleeing on foot and possession of a small amount of marijuana.
