Police made two arrests as a result of an ongoing investigation of a burglary and assault of an elderly woman in the 16900 block of Lyons Avenue around 2:32 a.m. on April 27.
Police are holding a 17-year-old Prior Lake boy and an 18-year-old Prior Lake man in custody pending formal charges, Lt. Randy Hofstad said.
Suspects in the burglary allegedly broke into an elderly woman’s house early Sunday morning, Hofstad said. After the woman confronted the suspects, she was assaulted, he said.
Limited information is available in the case as a result of an open and ongoing investigation.
Police later responded to a call in the 17300 block of Lilac Lane, which they believe is related to the burglary, Hofstad said. A 19-year-old Prior Lake man, a 17-year-old Prior Lake boy and a 16-year-old Prior Lake boy were arrested and jailed for obstructing without force and minor consumption of alcohol.
