Local dentist appointed to state Board of Dentistry

A Prior Lake dentist is among Gov. Tim Pawlenty’s appointees to the Minnesota Board of Dentistry.

Dr. David Linde, DDS is a general dentist with more than 30 years of practice experience. A Prior Lake resident, Linde practices with Smiles of Distinction in Savage.

Linde is appointed as a dentist member of the board to a four-year term that expires Jan. 2, 2012. He replaces Dr. Dean Singsank on the board.The Board of Dentistry examines, licenses and regulates dental health care professionals. The board consists of nine members appointed by the governor. Susan Osman of Minnetonka also was appointed by the governor.

Linde is a member of the Minnesota Dental Association, the Academy of General Dentistry and the American Association of Cosmetic Dentistry. Linde earned a bachelor of arts degree from Macalester College and a doctor of dental surgery degree from the University of Minnesota.

He is the past president of the Minnesota Academy of General Dentistry, the Savage Chamber of Commerce and the Savage Jaycees.
