Polls are open today, Tuesday, March 11, from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. in Credit River Township.
Voters will cast ballots at Town Hall, on Highway 68 a half mile east of the intersection of highways 27 and 68.
The township will have its annual meeting 8 p.m. today at Legends Golf Club, 8670 Credit River Blvd.
Here’s what’s on the ballot:
Clerk: Jerry Maas is running unopposed to retain his position. If Option B passes, his election would be nullified, and the township board would appoint someone (likely Maas) to the position.
Supervisor: Dan Casey is seeking re-election to his seat. Brent Lawrence is his challenger.
Option A: Expand the township board to five members instead of three. If voters approve Option A, the board would have 60 days to conduct an election for the additional two seats.
Option B: Remove the township clerk and treasurer positions as elected seats and instead allow the township board to appoint those two positions.
