Parents of the couple are Richard and Mary Mittelstadt of Prior Lake and Boyd and Karen Tate of Richfield.

Mittelstadt is a 2002 graduate of Rosemount High School and a 2005 graduate of the College of St. Benedict, St. Joseph, Minn. She is currently a business analyst at Curry Sales in Hopkins.

Tate is a 1997 graduate of Richfield High School and a 2003 graduate of St. Cloud State University. He is currently employed as the vice president of sales at Atrak Maintenance Services in Bloomington.The couple is planning a January 2009 wedding.
