Middle-schoolers share their Veterans Day thoughts

What does supporting the troops mean to you?

Why do you think Veterans Day is important?

“It is important to remember the people who served in the military and show them appreciation for risking their lives and devoting so much time to the military.”– Noah Scanlon

“It is important to show our appreciation, but also to show their honor and courage. It is also to remember all the things they did for us and our freedom.” – Kelby Gates

What do you think veterans mean to our country?

“They mean courage because they go through conditions most people don’t have to go through to keep everyone safe. This day lets them feel proud to have done something important that keeps everyone safe. – Noah Scanlon

“They are good role models and set good examples for people because they do good things for our country.” – Alexandra Yaeger
