'Fracture': A film men and women can agree on

It's extremely rare that my husband and I watch a movie we both like, so I felt the need to share that "Fracture" is such a film.

There's not much in the movie that hasn't been done before (typical of most big-budget films these days), but it's purely entertaining.

Anthony Hopkins plays a wealthy structural engineer who uses his brilliant but psychotic mind to manipulate pretty much everyone around him, including the young attorney who takes him on after Hopkins' character, Ted, murders his own wife. Ted is like a non-serial-killing version of Hannibal Lecter (minus the cannibalism).

The snappy writing and good performances by Hopkins and several others makes the otherwise typical movie plot shine.
