Primary results for the Prior Lake-Savage Area School Board show that the incumbent candidates did well at the polls.
The top eight candidates will move on to the general election on Nov. 6 to compete for four open School Board seats.
Voters were asked to select their top four candidates on the primary ballots.
Current School Board Member Diane Ziemann was the front runner in the primary with 553 votes. Board Member Eric Pratt earned the next highest total with 479 votes, followed by Board Member Dick Booth with 458 votes.
Candidate Chris Lind was next in line with 431 votes, and Dee Dee Francis earned 421 votes. Michael Von Arx had 328 votes.
Greg Bores captured 253 votes and John Myser had 241 votes, rounding out the candidates for the upcoming election.
Of the remaining candidates, Jeff Goldy had 234 votes, Ernest Sprecher had 128 votes and Justin Dekker had 124 votes.
Scott County reported that 1,095 ballots were cast in the primary election, which equals a 5.1 percent turnout.
