I'm fully expecting that I'll go see "Year of the Dog," which opens Friday, April 20 in metro-area theaters. I'm also fully expecting to bring a box of Kleenex.
The movie stars Molly Shannon as a dog "mom" who loses her beloved beagle, Pencil, and must face the realities of life alone. She eventually finds a German shepherd -- and a sensitive shelter-employed man -- to help ease the pain, while her friends and co-workers attempt to get her on the track they think she needs to follow.
