Duluth Avenue will be closed Tuesday, May 6 to so public works employees can complete bituminous repairs to the intersection of Duluth Avenue and County Road 21 (Eagle Creek Avenue).

The second phase of work on County Road 12 will begin the week of April 21.

Work on a storm water pond, storm sewer, curb, gutter and paving will take place between Stemmer Ridge Road and Howard Lake Road and continue until late June.

A stop sign at Highway 13 and County Road 12 is not a safety hazard and meets state sign location criteria, the city’s public works director said last week.

BlueXpress, the local commuter connection from Scott County to downtown Minneapolis – operated jointly by Shakopee Transit, Prior Lake Laker Lines and Scott County Transit – is changing its schedule effective Monday, April 14.

Based on survey feedback evaluating route ridership and travel times, all departure routes have been adjusted. The most significant changes will include:

Starting at 8 a.m. Monday, April 14, County Road 82 will be closed between county roads 17 and 81 (Howard Lake Road).

A detour will be provided via County Road 17 to County Road 42 to County Road 83.

A traffic signal at 150th Street and Highway 13 might never be justified, according to a recently completed study of the intersection.

The environmental review process for the future extension of County Road 21 is complete, allowing the project to move forward.

The Scott County Board on Tuesday determined that the final environmental impact statement for the road extension and associated transit station project adequately meets state law.

While Minnesotans may soon have to pay an additional quarter-cent sales tax while shopping in much of the metropolitan area, there’s a good chance shoppers won’t be paying extra in Scott County.

The combination of a relatively wet autumn and extended periods of bitter cold winter weather has taken its toll on Scott County roads, resulting in many complaints about County Road 18 from residents of Prior Lake and Savage.
