The Prior Lake Police Department responded to the following incidents between Oct. 29 and Nov. 5. This is not a comprehensive list of all incidents to which the department responded.
Accidents
Oct. 30: A property-damage crash was reported after a 51-year-old man of Clarksville, Tenn., knocked down a stop sign with a semi-truck trailer at the intersection of Main and Eagle Creek avenues.
Oct. 30: Police are investigating a hit-and-run property damage crash after a 75-year-old Prior Lake man put his car in reverse instead of drive and hit and damaged the Prior Lake Post Office building and then left the scene.
DWI
Oct. 30: A 31-year-old Marshall man was arrested and jailed for fourth-degree driving while impaired (DWI) at Mystic Lake Casino, 2400 Mystic Lake Blvd., after police received a complaint of an intoxicated driver.
Oct. 31: A 27-year-old Shakopee man was arrested and jailed for fourth-degree DWI, possession of a small amount of marijuana in a motor vehicle and expired registration after police made a traffic stop near Highway 13 and Dakota Street.
Nov. 4: A 23-year-old man from Memphis, Tenn., was arrested and jailed for fourth-degree DWI and giving false information to police officers after police received a traffic complaint at Mystic Lake Casino.
Nov. 4: A 36-year-old Burnsville man was arrested and jailed for second-degree DWI-test refusal near Marschall Road and 170th Street.
Theft
Oct. 29: A 17-year-old Prior Lake boy was arrested and jailed for simple robbery after police received a report of a purse snatching in the parking lot of Mystic Lake Casino. The purse and its contents were later found in a neighborhood near the casino.
Oct. 29: Police responded to a call of a car window that was broken and theft of a cell phone valued at $400 from the parking lot of Mystic Lake Casino.
Oct. 30: A 22-year-old St. Paul man was arrested and jailed for simple robbery and possession of drug paraphernalia at Mystic Lake Casino. It was reported that the man took an elderly man’s wallet that contained $800 cash while the man was sitting inside the casino. Some of the cash was recovered.
Oct. 31: Police received a call of individuals going through cars in the 14400 block of Castlegate Way. A 20-year-old St. Paul man was arrested and jailed for tampering with an automobile, altered license plates, driving without headlights and no proof of insurance. The two passengers in the car, a 19-year-old Minneapolis man and a 20-year-old St. Paul man were both arrested and jailed for tampering with an automobile.
Nov. 1: Police are investigating a report of a stolen purse from a home in the 17200 block of Horizon Trail. It was reported that the purse was taken from a home. There are no signs of forced entry.
Nov. 3: A paddleboat valued at $200 was reported stolen from the shoreline in the 15800 block of Island View Drive.
Warrants
Nov. 1: A 20-year-old Apple Valley man was arrested and jailed for a warrant out of Ramsey County at Mystic Lake Casino.
Liquor law violations
Oct. 31: Police received a report of intoxicated juveniles at a party in the 14600 block of Rosewood Road. Police cited 19 people from Savage, Prior Lake, Eagan, Eden Prairie and Burnsville for minor consumption of alcohol. One 18-year-old Prior Lake man was also cited for fleeing police on foot.
Nov. 2: Police were called to Mystic Lake Casino for a complaint of underage drinkers. A 19-year-old Dassel man and two 18-year-old Dassel men were all cited for minor consumption of alcohol.
Miscellaneous
Oct. 30: A 25-year-old Maple Grove man was arrested and jailed for disorderly conduct at Mystic Lake Casino.
Nov. 3: A 37-year-old Coon Rapids man was arrested and jailed for fifth-degree possession of a controlled substance that tested to be cocaine and two warrants out of Hennepin County after police received a narcotics complaint at Mystic Lake Casino.
