The Prior Lake Police Department responded to the following incidents between March 3 and 10. This is not a comprehensive list of all incidents to which the department responded.
Accidents
March 7: A property-damage crash involving a 76-year-old man and a 16-year-old girl, both of Prior Lake, was reported near Highway 13 and Fish Point Road. It was reported that the man was stopped at a red light on Fish Point Road when the girl rear-ended his vehicle.
DWI
March 9: An 18-year-old Prior Lake woman was arrested and jailed for third-degree driving while impaired – test refusal, fourth-degree DWI under the influence of methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia after she drove herself to the police station and stated that vehicles were following her from St. Paul to Prior Lake. The woman refused to submit to a chemical test for the use of drugs.
Theft
March 3: A GPS unit valued at $80 was reported stolen from an unlocked vehicle that was parked in the 3200 block of Lake Bluff Circle.
March 3: Tools valued at $75 were reported stolen from an open garage of a home in the 16400 block of Park Avenue.
March 3: A 15-year-old Prior Lake girl was cited for theft of an iPod at Twin Oaks Middle School, 15860 Fish Point Road.
March 4: Police are investigating a report of a gas drive-off of $21 from Shakopee Dakota Convenience Store No. 1, 15035 Mystic Lake Drive.
March 9: A gas drive-off of $39 was reported at Holiday Gas Station, 4460 Fountain Hills Drive. The case is under investigation.
Assault
March 4: A 17-year-old Prior Lake boy was arrested and jailed for fifth-degree domestic assault after he threatened several others inside a home in the 14200 block of Bridal Ridge Trail. The boy was also cited for possession of tobacco.
March 7: Police are investigating a report of a bar fight involving a 23-year-old Prior Lake woman and a 22-year-old woman from Savage at O’Malley’s on Main, 16211 Main Ave. It was reported that the Prior Lake woman punched the woman from Savage in the nose, but the Prior Lake woman denied the accusation. There were no injuries.
Warrants
March 4: A 23-year-old Prior Lake man was arrested and jailed in the 16200 block of Franklin Trail for an aiding an offender warrant out of Hennepin County.
Miscellaneous
March 5: Charges of possession of a weapon on school property are pending against a 13-year-old Prior Lake boy after he brought a switch blade knife to Twin Oaks Middle School, 15860 Fish Point Road. According to police, the boy brought the knife to school and showed it to a couple of other students. The boy did not open the blade or threaten anyone with it.
March 6: A 55-year-old woman from Savage was cited for trespassing after police were called to a trespassing complaint at Mystic Lake Casino.
