A group of first-graders at St. Paul’s Lutheran School anxiously awaits the arrival of the school’s principal, Belinda Granlund, who dressed as a chicken on March 12 after students raised $1,194 for Pennies for Patients. Granlund told the students if they raised more than $1,000 for leukemia and lymphoma patients, they could choose what she would do for a day (with the exception of shaving her head). “I am proud to wear a chicken suit for their hard work,” Granlund said.
