Police calls for July 30 to Aug. 6

The Prior Lake Police Department responded to the following incidents between July 30 and Aug. 6. This is not a comprehensive list of all incidents to which the department responded.

Accidents

July 30: While a 53-year-old New Prague woman was stopped at a red light at the intersection of Panama Avenue and Highway 13, a 27-year-old Prior Lake man hit the woman’s car. There were no injuries.

Aug. 1: A 37-year-old Apple Valley woman hit two parked cars while attempting to park a trailer attached to her vehicle at Sandpoint Beach, 14349 Crest Ave.

Aug. 5: A man was transported to St. Francis Regional Medical Center for possible head and neck injuries after being rear-ended at a stop light in the 15700 block of Highway 13. The State Patrol completed the report.

DWI

July 31: A 26-year-old Burnsville man was arrested and jailed for third-degree driving while impaired (DWI) after being stopped for a traffic violation near 140th Street and Pike Lake Trail. The man was also cited for driving after suspension and speeding.

July 31: A 38-year-old man from Savage was arrested and jailed for fourth-degree boating while impaired after police were called to a report of an assault at Captain Jacks, 3950 Green Heights Trail.

Theft

July 30: A gas drive off for the amount of $59 was reported at Holiday Gas Station, 4460 Fountain Hills Drive.

July 31: A gas drive off for the amount of $20 was reported at Holiday Gas Station, 16800 Duluth Ave.

July 31: A gas drive off for the amount of $25 was reported at Hot Spot, 4995 160th St.

July 31: A gas drive off for the amount of $42 was reported at Holiday Gas Station, 4460 Fountain Hills Drive.

Aug. 1: Clothes valued at $50 were reported stolen from a vehicle in the 2700 block of Spring Lake Road

Aug. 2: A bike valued at $250 was reported stolen in the 16200 block of Eagle Creek Avenue.

Aug. 2: A license plate was reported stolen in the 2800 block of Bobcat Trail.

Aug. 2: A 16-year-old St. Paul boy was arrested and jailed for possession of a stolen car, under 21 drinking and driving and no Minnesota driver’s license in the 2200 block of Walter Street. The car was reported stolen out of Shakopee. The passenger, a 16-year-old St. Paul boy was arrested and jailed for two warrants out of Scott County.

Aug. 4: Solar garden lights valued at $15 were reported stolen from a flower bed in the 14200 block of Aspen Avenue.

Fraud

July 30: Police received a report of a check forgery for the value of $2,700 in the 6700 block of Rustic Road. The case is under investigation.

Driving violations

Aug. 1: During the car cruise at Lakefront Days, police cited two 45-year-old Prior Lake men for unreasonable acceleration for smoking the tires of the car during the parade near Pershing Street and Spring Avenue.

Alcohol violations

July 31: An 18-year-old Shakopee man was cited for minor consumption of alcohol in the 3200 block of Walter Street.

Aug. 5: A 20-year-old Prior Lake man was cited for underage drinking and driving and minor consumption of alcohol at Lakefront Park, 5000 Kop Parkway.

Miscellaneous

July 30: A 24-year-old Prior Lake man was arrested and jailed for domestic assault in the 16700 block of Brunswick Avenue.

July 31: A 34-year-old man from Savage was arrested and jailed for violating a harassment restraining order in the 2300 block of Stonecrest Path.

Aug. 2: A 28-year-old Prior Lake man was arrested and jailed for fifth-degree assault at the Basement Bar and Grill, 16691 Highway 13.
