To help protect wetlands on the Shakopee Mdewakanton Sioux Community, the SMSC will install approximately 15,000 square feet of pervious pavement in the former Little Six Casino parking lot that will absorb water that falls on it and allow it to seep into the ground.

As part of the same project the SMSC will also build two rain gardens for impervious pavement to drain into.

Scott County law enforcement officers will conduct enhanced patrols during a statewide Safe and Sober “Click It or Ticket” seatbelt enforcement sweep from Oct. 10 to 19.

Last week started very warm as we reached 80 degrees on Friday, Sept. 26, for what will almost certainly be the last time this year.
