The Scott County Historical Society has teamed up with the Scott County Veteran’s Services Department, the Scott County library system and the Minnesota Historical Society to collect stories from Minnesota’s “Greatest Generation.”
Organizers are looking for all sorts of stories from the 1930s to the 1950s. Some topics include: coming to America, making the best of hard times, preparing meals on rations, childhood memories, music, sports, entertainment, life in the service and life at home. Volunteers also are needed to conduct interviews.
Scott County residents willing to share memories and stories about their lives in the 1930s to the 1950s should e-mail Devon Marschall at dkmarschall@yahoo.com or call the Scott County Historical Society at (952) 445-0378.
