St. Michael’s School to celebrate Catholic Schools Week

St. Michael’s School will celebrate Catholic Schools week. Events include: Sunday, Jan. 27: Registration kick-off for 2008-09. Students will wear uniforms to all Masses, and students in first- through fifth-grade will sing at Masses. Other Mass features will include a photo slideshow, alumni presentations, and thank you cards from students to parishioners for their support. Monday, Jan. 28: Students will dress in blue and white for school spirit and a pep fest will take place in the gym. Each classroom will sing a song, do a cheer or make a poster. Tuesday, Jan. 29: On Community Day, students will wear red, white and blue, and can wear wacky hairstyles. They will also thank bus drivers. Wednesday, Jan. 30: Prayer/Vocations Day will include Mass at 2:40 p.m. in the church. Students will sit with their prayer buddies from different grade levels at Mass, and visitors from a variety of vocations will speak to all grades. Students will wear hats and slippers to school. Thursday, Jan. 31: For Teacher Appreciation Day, a luncheon for teachers will include a slideshow of teachers’ baby photos. Teachers will race students to the finish line during relays at 2:30 p.m. Students are not required to wear uniforms. Friday, Feb. 1: On Talent Day, students do not have to wear uniforms, but should dress as their talents. A talent show in the morning for grades five through eight will be followed by classroom games at 2:30 p.m.
