My wishes came true!

I spent about 40 minutes dog parking on Saturday in Eden Prairie and 1-1/2 hours back at the same park on Sunday. The dogs ran and ran and ran. There were even a couple of doggie collisions, including Quincy (my Doberman/AmStaff mix) getting T-boned by a weimaraner named Asia. It was not a pleasant sound but neither dog seemed worse for the wear.

All of the dogs with me were extremely worn out, though, on Sunday night. But, as they say, a tired dog is a happy dog!

I would just like to be able to bend my limbs while walking my dogs. I have to put on so many layers that I feel like Ralphie's little brother in "A Christmas Story."

And just in time for the so-called thaw, my neighbor is headed to Los Angeles so we will have a third dog to contend with. Either way, we don't win -- if it stays cold, I have that much more time in the great outdoors and if it warms up and the called-for rain comes on Monday, I have a Siberian husky to clean off after every outing. I wonder what she'd look like shaved?

According the KARE 11's weather guru, the cold stuff is behind us. So I guess that means more below-zero temperatures are on the way.
