Robert, you speak with such definity, but it appears much murkier than that. I'm no Hitler buff or scholar, but a quick web search provides less clarity. What you say is probably accurate, but he also provided other, conflicting statements.

Hitler wrote in Mein Kampf: "I am convinced that I am acting as the agent of our Creator. By fighting off the Jews. I am doing the Lord's work." In 1938, he quoted those same words in a Reichstag speech.

I don't think it's as cut and dry as you would like to have us believe.

Even if there is a connection between Hitler and Darwin, that doesn't mean there is a connection between evolution and Hitler. Darwin does not equal evolution. The overwhelming majority of people who accept the science behind evolution do not also share Darwin's other views. Only wackos like Hitler did/do. So stop trying to say that evolution has anything to do with Hitler.

God didn't create us as robots. He gave each of us a free will. We exercise that will by the ideas we subscribe to and the actions we carry out. There is a connection between what we think and what we do. There is a connection between Darwin, Hitler and Sanger. You just refuse to admit it. That's okay, it's a free country.

And it all comes full circle again... you've just equated the left and godless. Again. Because God is a Republican and anyone that disputes anything you say is godless.

At least you're consistent.

That is absolutely wrong.
They were pagan and viewed Nazism as a political religion.

Part of the war crimes in Nuremberg documented the persecution of the Christian church.
The Nazi had a complete plan to remove the "foreign" church and replace it with a National Church.

The goal of Nazi National Church was to instill a spirit and willingness to make sacrifices for the state for the "good" of the nation. A copy of Mein Kampf, a sword and a swastika were its symbols

The myth that Nazi were Christians is an often repeated slur by the left in order to defend a godless position.

This along with the slur, more people have been killed in the name of Religion are equally as wrong as they are bigoted.

This reminds me of the article Dave Barry wrote a long time ago... How to Win an Argument. In it, Barry said:

"Compare your opponent to Adolf Hitler. This is your heavy artillery, for when your opponent is obviously right and you are spectacularly wrong. Bring Hitler up subtly. Say: 'That sounds suspiciously like something Adolf Hitler might say' or 'You certainly do remind me of Adolf Hitler.'

You know, Hitler and the others responsible for the Holocaust were Christians. Using your logic (trying to blame Darwin), I'd say it would make more sense to blame Christianity.

You are - as usual - taking Dawkins' comments out of context. This whole thing has been debunked on about a million different websites.

Dawkins didn’t say he believed in aliens. He said that if indications of intelligent design were found, and they haven’t been yet, then evidence and logic simply indicates that aliens would be more likely responsible (since we have evidence of life in the Universe so it might exist somewhere else) than a force for which we have no evidence for.

Dawkins clearly doesn't believe in ID. When several gaps in evolution were pointed out to him, he stated that ID is one big gap. He was mocking ID when he made his comment about aliens.

There is no connection between evolution and aliens.

So in your world, ideas

So in your world, ideas don't have consequences, there is no cause and effect, people aren't inspired for good or for bad by ideas. Is that correct?!? If I'm irrational, you are in outer space!!

At least I defend my position. Your posts are mostly attacks on me and on God. I'm still waiting for you to rationally defend your point of view. I guess I'll be waiting a long time because there is no rational defense for calling aliens planting seeds on earth "credible science".

One last time, try responding to the critique of your belief system. It would be refreshing.

But the very fact that upon their creation your God breathed a soul in the lives of Hitler and Sanger, thus allowing them to exist in the first place, Doesn't that leave the blood of millions on the mystical hands of your God? And the fact that millions of pregnancies end in spontaneous abortion makes God the biggest abortionist of all time. Of ALL time!

And why didn't your God listen to the pitiful pleas for help from their vicitms?

The answer is, there is no connection between them. As there is no connection between darwin and them.

You don't appear to be able to rationally discuss this topic, instead deffering to religion for your answer, or better yet a biased movie.

And aliens planting seeds on earth is credible science? Why can evolution be taught in schools to explain the origins of the universe when one evolution's leading theories is that aliens planted seeds on earth? How is that scientific and why can't ID be presented as another alternative?

You apparently have not seen the movie "Expelled" or you just choose to ignore the link between Darwin, Hitler and Sanger. Raising those issues is totally legitimate because Hitler and Sanger were both big fans of Darwin because "natural selection" (i.e. survival of the fittest) fit perfectly with their world view that it is acceptable to exterminate those who are "inconvenient", and thus the world experienced the Holocaust, mass sterilization and abortion on demand.

Ideas have consequences. Darwin's ideas inspired two of the worst perpetrators of death (Hitler and Sanger) of the last century. None of your feeble attempts to tear me down change that fact.

My gosh Savage, really? All I can do is shake my head at that last one. The Holocost and Nazi eugenics are indeffensible. You think I'm going to defend them?!

Do you go around defending the religious (christian) crusades and the unbelievable associated attrocities?

You're absolutely insane. Raising those issues during a discussion / debate of evolution betrays your magnificent lack of comprehension and inability for rational discussion.

Classic, Savage Guy,

Classic, Savage Guy, classic. You would have thrived during the time when thunder and lightning were explained away as God, disease was caused by demons inhabiting the body and the earth was flat. You could have been a high priest back then.

Is that how you live your life? If Savage Guy and science can not currently explain something it must be the hand of God? Isn't there any room for a simple "I don't know" in your life? Do I have a plausible explanation, no, but that's ok, an "I don't know" for me is better than throwing up my hands and saying, "Must be God".

What are your thoughts on electricity. You know it's really just a theory also. You can't see it. But the theory holds up to scientific scrutiny and experimentation. As does evolution. There may be gaps, but come on, the science is only a few hundred years old, it took thousands of years before everyone knew the earth wasn't flat.
Anything that is contrary to what your religion tells you to believe is considered an attack. Classic.

I don't know how it all happened. Maybe God did spark life, maybe it was an alien, maybe it was something I can't even fathom. I don't know. But I trust science to inform me, piece by piece as more is learned than I do a book that was written thousands of years ago when the world WAS flat . Based on the sciences of biology, archeology, palentology and a slew of other ologies, after a certain point, lifeforms evolved from humble origins.

I have no problem with you believing anything you want, but if you can't back it up with credible science then keep it out of public school science rooms. It aint science. Instead of you telling me again that evolution is just a theory, spend time on the web educating yourself.

Present your "hypothesis, story, legend etc" it in a folklore class along with native american creation legends as well as other religious, cultural creation stories.

If you tell me where I can find ID information that is supported by scientific rigor, experimentation and observation I will more than eagerly read it and I look forward to you passing that on to me.
