Or...I could leave the fish

Or...I could leave the fish raw in the middle and save more time; I just got a recipe for seared ahi tuna from a friend last night.
I'm excited to try it, since I had this at Crave in Edina recently and(of course) I'm "craving" it now.
P.S. Word on the street is Crave plans to expand its sushi bar.

I'm not a fan of eel, but I never discourage my daughter from trying things just because I don't like it.

Recently, she had an opportunity to bite into a little unagi sushi -- only I didn't tell her what it was. We were doing the all-you-can-eat at Ichiban and I plucked one off a boat (after having given her several that she did like) and said, "Here, you'll like this one."

Still chewing, she leaned over and asked through a little gagging what it was because "it feels like there's hairs in my throat."

Before she swallowed, I told her it was eel and I thought she was going to throw up on me. She gulped her water to get it out of her mouth, then called her dad to tell on me and to tell him never to eat eel.

I always steer away from farm-raised fish, but it's tough because the prices are so much lower.
They say fish is uber healthy and chock full of omega three, then they say not to eat farm-raised and that fish has too much mercury. What's a girl to do? Maybe, I'll just stick with steak...although, we're having trouble in that area, as well.

I like eel rolls when it comes to sushi, but I've never had it cooked.
Maybe I'll have to look up a recipe for that, unless you want to share one with me, of course.
I'm assuming it must go in the toaster oven or microwave, Tom?

I will, because I am a fan of the show "Dirty Jobs" and I don't want to know how tilapia is farmed if it made it on the show.
I always liked the phrase, what you don't know won't kill you.

I made the mistake of ordering tilapia at a Mexican restaurant in White Bear Lake that I hadn't previously dined at. I swear it said "fillets" on the menu but I was presented with a whole fish complete with eyes, fins and tail. I totally freaked out and was trying to tell the waitress that it wasn't what I ordered.

My husband assured her everything was fine, moved by plate to his side of the table and removed the offending portions -- which he then stuffed into the tortilla warmer -- and gave me back a plate with just fish pieces. I still had trouble eating it and I now make sure I ask what my plate will look like whenever I order fish.

Eww! Tilapia....

I made the mistake of watching "Dirty Jobs" with Mike Rowe in which they aired a show on Tilapia fish farming.

For those unaware of Tilapia farming, LUCKY!
Continue to live in bliss!!!! :-)

Um, it's not all about you, Shawn.

Joanna was overcooking her salmon, according to her first post. (The subsequent one offers shopping clarification).

I think the 15 minutes includes the trip to the store, too...then I just cook it until it flakes and isn't raw in the middle.
