That drop by Williamson was the worst drop of a pass that I have ever seen in an NFL game. Sadly, in spite of all his hard work, Williamson cannot catch the ball on a consistent basis and should be cut.

Worst draft pick? He's up there, but don't forget the D-line guy Denny drafted who went off the deep end and never played for the Vikes.

Williamson should definitely be cut. Next to D.J. Dozier, he might be one of the worst draft picks the Vikings have ever made.

The really sad thing is that, if you were set on taking a WR there, Williamson has done more than just about every receiver taken in that draft to this point.

I completely understand the build-you-up-to-knock-you-down mentality, but for me this is different because the team is young and no one really expected them to be a playoff team this year.

It is always possible for the Vikings to fall apart, but with the remaining schedule as favorable as it is, I think the Vikings have the best chance in the NFC to make the playoffs.

If the Vikings do get into the playoffs, I don't think they will get crushed in the first round because a likely opponent would be the Bucs or the Seahawks neither of which are that good.

Now in the second round, when they would have to play the Packers or the Cowboys it could get ugly.

Only time will tell.

Call me Mr. Negativity but the Vikes will find a way to eliminate themselves from the playoff picture. If they would happen to make it in, they'll get crushed in the first playoff game bacause it's the Minnesota way as of late for professional teams to find inventive ways to lose.

For now, Jackson and Major Dad have silenced their critics. I'm stunned Jackson is playing this good.

Yes, the Vikings are a stone-cold lock to make the playoffs.

The Vikings will win four

The Vikings will win four games. This team lacks an identity. I thought the Vikings could pull a Ravens or the Bears two years ago when Kyle Orton was starting and the team went 11-5.

Win with defense. Win with running the ball. Win by not making mistakes. But that's not the makeup of our coach and there's the problem.

We have a finese-type coach who wants to run the West Coast offense - dink and dunk - yet the makeup of the team more suited for smash-mouth football with a punch-in-you-in-the-face-type defense.

You can't fit a square peg in a round hole.

Yes, the QBs are terrible and will never be any good (Tavaris included). The wide receivers are not good, but Sydney Rice has a chance to be a very good player (not this year) down the road.

The defense is top five in the NFL, but they are not miracle workers. In the second half, KC exploited the D's one weakness - suspect safeties. The Vikings D can be had in the middle of the field if the opponents receivers are willing to take big hits and hang onto the ball (like Tony Gonzales did).

Still, the D is one of the best in the NFL.

10 years from now the Vikings are going to looking at Mike Tomlin and wonder, "How did we let that young guy get out of town?" He's the real deal and you could see it before the Steelers played their first game.

You're right. I should be a little more fair to Harrington. The second interception wasn't his fault. He was getting hit and rushed all day long. It is good to see a good pass rush, again.

If the Bears do stumble to 10-6, the Vikings could get to that record with a little luck.

The way I see it we are an 8-8 team, but with some luck and solid defense, we could sneak into the playoffs. The NFL is a crazy league.

Be fair to Harrington now.

Be fair to Harrington now. That second Vikings' defensive TD wasn't his fault. His pass only bounced off the chest of his WR, Michael Jenkins.

Harrington was running for his life in this game. But I hope he does well for Atlanta.

Playoffs for the Vikings?

With that defense, a strong running game, who knows. I think the Bears will take a step back this year. They've already lost two starters on defense. And Cedric Benson will be a major draft bust. For a big back, he runs with no power. He has no speed. And he has no shiftiness.

Sounds a lot like Curtis Enis and Rashaan Salam, to former first-round RBs drafted by the Bears.

So, let's say the Bears tumble back to 10-6. It's not impossible for the Vikings to get to that record with a little luck. This is the NFL. Saints were 3-13 two years ago and in the NFC title game last year.

Adrian Peterson and the Vikings' defense made this game a lot of fun to watch. I think the Vikes will be fine, probably not a playoff team, but do fairly well if Jackson can continue to control the ball.

Peterson proved he will be a star in this league if he can stay healthy. My prediction of two defensive touchdowns came true. Thanks Joey Harrington.

My biggest dissapointment was the lack of Michael Vick razzing by the fans.

I heard a lot of barking and "who let the dogs out chants," but that was about it.

Our defense will get a little more of a challenge next week against Detroit, but I think they will be abe to stop the Lions.

That must have been a great opener. The Vikings defense is one of the top 3 in the league.

And what a start for Adrian Peterson, who, after one game, is already the best back in our division by a mile.

I'm looking forward to watching the Bears-Bolts game instead of the Queens..

And...

Bobby Wade, Sydney Rice, Troy Williamson and Robert Ferguson.

Top-ranked Eden Prairie may have a better four.
