Has anyone ever won a meat raffle? I want to hear about how this works.

Do you really win meat? Apparently, I lead a sheltered life...I had never heard of this at any bar until coming to Prior Lake. That said, I've never played pull tabs, either...

I see where they would fit in well as an opener for the B-52s and the Talking Heads. (I'm a big David Byrne fan by the way.)

I dug deeper into their videos and thought "My Imagination," was fun, as well.

They were big in Texas.
They opened for B-52s and Talking Heads.
Everyone expected them to be big but they never seemed to get past the College circuit.

Rumor has it they are going to release a CD of their past work.

Very strange sound, but lots of fun.
Concerts were great as they used lots of strange "instruments".
Pots and Pans, TV, glass of water and at the end of "Joey the Mechanical Boy" they "played" a series of light build smashing them for a mechanical sound.

I suggest Guyana Punch and All the Pretty Girls as some of their best songs. All though for obvious reasons, one of my favorites is "Don't be a hippy"

I'd like to go on record and correct Mr. Schardin by saying U2 is, in fact, my favorite band and that Daughtry, in fact, is most certainly not.

This U2 Christmas thing intrigues me. I know the band was (and maybe still is) quite religious back in the early days, and a lot of their lyrics do have spiritual references.
