Reminder: the HHW Facility

Reminder: the HHW Facility is closed every year during the period of December 20 through January 5, to allow us to perform our annual cleaning and restocking.

Throughout the year, we are open on Wednesdays (12 noon to 6 pm), Thursdays (12 noon to 4 pm), and Saturdays (8 am to 12 noon). However, since the following days will fall within the December 20 – January 5 cleaning period this year, that means that over the next few weeks we will be closed on December 23, 24, 26, 30, 31, and January 2.

Don't forget that the Scott County HHW Facility will be closed on Thursday, November 26, and Saturday, November 28, for Thanksgiving.

The HHW Facility is normally open on Wednesdays from 12:00 noon to 6:00 p.m., Thursdays from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., and Saturdays from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon. The RE-USE Room is open on those same days, but it does close 15 minutes earlier.

I see where they would fit in well as an opener for the B-52s and the Talking Heads. (I'm a big David Byrne fan by the way.)

They were big in Texas.
They opened for B-52s and Talking Heads.
Everyone expected them to be big but they never seemed to get past the College circuit.

Rumor has it they are going to release a CD of their past work.

Very strange sound, but lots of fun.
Concerts were great as they used lots of strange "instruments".
Pots and Pans, TV, glass of water and at the end of "Joey the Mechanical Boy" they "played" a series of light build smashing them for a mechanical sound.

I suggest Guyana Punch and All the Pretty Girls as some of their best songs. All though for obvious reasons, one of my favorites is "Don't be a hippy"
