A few weeks ago, the City of Prior Lake stated that the city's fireworks display was in jeopardy without additional funding. Thanks to Integra Telecom - the show will go on.

Maybe the City of Prior Lake and the SMSC should combine their efforts going forward rather than having competing fireworks displays? Just a thought!

SMSC to host Fourth of July fireworks display

The Shakopee Mdewakanton Sioux Community is hosting a free fireworks display that is open to the public to celebrate the Fourth of July. Show time is 10 p.m.

For the 15th consecutive year, the SMSC is sponsoring an elaborate fireworks display at the tribe's pow wow grounds in Shakopee. The fireworks will go on, rain or shine, unless there is severe weather.
