Prior Lake bicyclist killed when struck by car

A Prior Lake man was killed when the bicycle he was driving was struck by a car on Friday night in Blue Earth County.

Gerard F. Carlson, 50, was on a bike and crossing Highway 169 when he was struck by a car driven by Trudy M. Stensland, 23, of Lewisville, Minn. She was traveling westbound on Highway 169 at the time of the accident, which occurred at 10:43 p.m., according to the State Patrol.

Blue Earth County sheriff’s deputies and Mankato police responded.
