I think I prefer Shawn's recipe to a whole, roasted pig over a fire pit. I know, it's supposed to be fabulous (and it went over really well last year at Lakefront Days); somehow, I have trouble eating foods that stare back at me.

Whenever you see pictures of a pig roast, the pig always has an apple in its mouth. I think it's a pairing suggestion on the part of the pig.
