Are there any "green

Are there any "green people" out there who know of a way to get on a "do not send me phone books" list?

Recycling is a good option, but it would be better to stop the companies from killing all of the trees in the first place.

With everything listed on the Internet, I prefer to live with less clutter and to search online when I need to find a phone number, directions, store hours, etc.

In Prior Lake, you can recycle your unused or outdated phone books curbside, according to Dex.

For more information, visit www.dexknows.com and click on "Other Dex Services" and then "Recycle Phone Books."

About the Phone books...hahaha...I was outside and saw this guy putting ANOTHER phone book near my mailbox!...I couldn't believe my eyes! just got one 3 days before!!!! I get one every 2-3 weeks...I told him how many I have and must refuse this one...I don't think he believed me...I thanked him though for all the phone books...with a giggle I walked into the house...

Every so often at Target

Every so often at Target when going pass the camping gear or school supplies, I will serenade my wife with:
"I'm picking out a thermos for you..."

And at my past job wen the phone books arrive (usually a giant stack for everyone in the office).
I would always pick one up and say
"This is the kind of spontaneous publicity I need"

One of the great movies - And I still send donations Father Carlos to stop the barbaric sport of kitten juggling.

Too funny. I've never thought of being listed in a phone book as "having my name in print." It's been a long time, I'll have to checkout that movie again.

Navin R. Johnson loves the phone book.

Remember, he said, "The new phone book is here. The new phone book is here.... My name is in print. Things are going to start happening to me now."

What movie?

One phone book went out

One phone book went out with Ma Bell. Now anyone can publish one if they've got the money. Yellow pages, Yellow Book, Dex, etc., etc. Too bad, cause there are way too many out there.

I saw a pair of Bald Eagles in Savage yesterday afternoon while coming back from a meeting in Shakopee. This time of year they are moving south and often pass our way, looking for a quick meal and a fun ride on the fall winds. Some of them overwinter in Shakopee near Dangerfields where the backwash from the Minnesota River stays unfrozen and others stay for the winter in Burnsville, back by the Blackdog power plant, which keeps the water from the river unfrozen.

I'm being swamped with new phone books, too. I'm not sure what I'm supposed to do with them. I look most things up on whitepages.com, anyway!
