The Dakota County Attorney’s Office amended the criminal charges that were filed on April 25 in connection with the fatal hit and run that killed Carlos Noriega of Prior Lake in the parking lot of the Event Center in Burnsville on April 5.

Handwritten letters written from jail by Craigslist murder suspect Michael Anderson of Savage detail that he tried to hire someone to take responsibility for killing Katherine Ann Olson.

The letters were the subject of two motions filed by the Scott County Attorney’s office that were discussed Wednesday (May 7) during Anderson’s omnibus hearing. Assistant County Attorney Mike Groh said the letters were intercepted by jail officials and delivered to his parents in Savage.

A 53-year-old Jordan man pleaded guilty Tuesday to his role in a March 2006 snowmobile accident that killed his brother-in-law, David D. Williamson, 52, of Prior Lake.

The Dakota County Attorney’s Office filed criminal charges against three people on April 25 in association with the hit-and-run homicide of Carlos Noriega, 22, of Prior Lake.

A 27-year-old Fridley man was sentenced to serve 10 years and two months in prison for first-degree sale of a controlled substance in Scott County District Court by Judge Jerome Abrams on March 27.

Andrew Jerel Storkamp was also sentenced to pay an $80 court fee and provide a DNA sample.

A Shakopee man convicted in the alcohol-related crash that killed Timberwolves guard Malik Sealy was arrested early Sunday on suspicion of drunken driving.

Souksangouane Phengsene, 51, was booked into the Hennepin County Jail around 2 a.m. State Patrol spokesman Mark Peterson said Phengsene is likely to face a felony DWI charge.

A 29-year-old Prior Lake man was sentenced to serve two years in jail and eight years of probation for fourth-degree assault of a police officer, domestic assault and second-degree driving while impaired test refusal by Judge Thomas McCarthy in Scott County Court Jan. 16.

A Shakopee man was drunk and driving negligently on Feb. 7 when his vehicle crossed a median and crashed head-on into another vehicle, killing a Prior Lake man, prosecutors allege.

A 20-year-old Burnsville woman was charged with two counts of second-degree driving while impaired (DWI) and one count of failure to stop for an accident by the Scott County Attorney’s Office this week for hitting a Prior Lake squad car Feb. 10.
