What are your thoughts on the Shady Beach access?

» Read similar stories filed under:

I have noticed in the police calls that several people have been cited for using the Shady Beach access after hours.

What are your thoughts on the Shady Beach access?

Is it patrolled too heavily?

Is it not patrolled enough?

Are police doing a good job patrolling the access?

How many people do you see use the access after hours?

Has after-hours access control improved over past few years?

How disrespectful is after-hour use of the access to neighbors?

How can the access best serve those using the lake and still respect those who live near the access?

we live within a block of the access so I can answer this easily. It is not patrolled enough especially considering the parking is also shared with a school bus stop four times a day,and their are no sidewalks!
I feel if they(ice-fishermen included)would be more respectful with their TRASH and take it ALL elsewhere, it wouldn't be soooo bad.
When all our newest snow was rapidly melting I took my kids for a walk to really teach them how to splash in the puddles! The beautiful sparkling stream of water we were following was brought to a sudden halt with a dam built mostly of ashtray contents. Moment ruined.
