One phone book went out with Ma Bell. Now anyone can publish one if they've got the money. Yellow pages, Yellow Book, Dex, etc., etc. Too bad, cause there are way too many out there.

I saw a pair of Bald Eagles in Savage yesterday afternoon while coming back from a meeting in Shakopee. This time of year they are moving south and often pass our way, looking for a quick meal and a fun ride on the fall winds. Some of them overwinter in Shakopee near Dangerfields where the backwash from the Minnesota River stays unfrozen and others stay for the winter in Burnsville, back by the Blackdog power plant, which keeps the water from the river unfrozen.

Every so often at Target when going pass the camping gear or school supplies, I will serenade my wife with:
"I'm picking out a thermos for you..."

And at my past job wen the phone books arrive (usually a giant stack for everyone in the office).
I would always pick one up and say
"This is the kind of spontaneous publicity I need"
