What's the most you would pay to see your favorite band or singer perform?

As concert prices soar and Ticketmaster continues to gouge consumers, what's the most you would pay to see your favorite band or singer?

It depends on the artist for me, but my all-time favorite is U2, and I've paid up to $150 for a ticket in the past. How much would I pay for front row? Probably $500. I love my U2!

Most of the bands I listen to tour extensively, so lucky for me the tickets never rise above $35.

But, if all the members of Pink Floyd were to reunite I would definately pay $500 for a Good seat. I don't think I would pay any more than that. Well, I guess if they were front row... I would have to consider paying more. I'll say $700 tops.

I saw Pink Floyd on the Division Bell tour and that was one of the best concert experiences ever.

My favorite, though, is Pearl Jam. I've seen Pearl Jam many times and I think I would pay whatever it takes, especially if it was at The Gorge in Washington, which is my favorite venue.

I don't think I've spent more than $50 on concert tickets. There are so many free concerts that are good (note - the Aquatennial Block Party is Friday) from 5:30 to 11 p.m. on the Nicollet Mall near the new Downtown library.

The BoDeans, Honeydogs and Hopefuls are set to play.

Last year, I was front row for Sonja Kitchell and Semisonic at the block party and it was great!

I'm excited to see the Hopefuls again. My friend introduced me to them, and I've seen them a few times - all free outdoor shows. They're a must-see. In addition to their fun pop-rock sound, there's Rupert, the best dancer in the universe - yes, the band has its very own dancer, and if you're not at least smiling and bobbing your head by the end of the night, you should check your pulse.

For U2, front row? I would probably pay $500, too. But only for them. And maybe the Dave Matthews Band.

My issue with high ticket prices is that I hate price gougers, and I especially hate ticketmaster. It's like...almost a moral issue for me, ahaha. So that alone could keep me from buying high-priced tickets for a band I love.

But U2...I'd definitely consider $500. :|

I was in the front row for Prince's "Musicology" tour. I paid $75 a piece for two tickets and let me tell you - it was worth every penny. He is an amazing performer. To be that close to all that energy and talent is very very cool and most certainly unforgetable.

I would pay MUCHO for front row at Prince!! I paid $90 a ticket just to sit in the upper level of the Target Center at his 7-7-07 show! Front row for Prince? I'd probably pay $200. Maybe more. I might need to eat ramen for a month, but I'd do it.
