Garden Fever
Use this forum to discuss gardening in Minnesota and to announce special events of interest to gardeners.
In the early spring, when it is too early to get out in the garden yet, the anxious gardener can get inspiration and satisfy the itch by going to one of the excellent gardening seminars put on around the metro area.
Here is one in our area:

Back to page topI don't have a green thumb, but I did attend the Twin Cities Parade of Ponds last year.
At one stop, a local Prior Lake business showcased lighting for pond environments to highlight natural forms and to blend into water-garden or pond settings.
The hand-crafted lights, in my opinion, were outstanding. Visit http://www.artscapelighting.com/ to see examples.

I have a forsythia bush on my front hill that looked like it was just on the verge of blooming with that warm weather we had before all the cold and wind and snow. I always look forward to its yellow flowers as welcome sign of spring.
Now all the buds look brown. I am guessing that all these below freezing nights have damaged the flower buds.
Have you had some frost damage to early blooms???
