The main thing I want to say about Social Security is this:
The politicians don't care about the Social Security program; they don't have to depend on it for an income. Most of our elected officials will continue to receive thier current salary once they leave office, and continue to do so until they die!

I used to live within a few blocks of this restaurant. When they had their outdoor entertainment, it would keep people (some that had to go to work the next day) awake until 2:00 in the a.m.; then we had to put up with the drunks hot rodding down residential streets, making all kinds of noise, etc.......
When I called to complain to the restaurant, they were quick to (rudely) say that if I didn't like it, I should contact my City Council to complain, and that they would keep on partying until the permit expired.

I have family that live in Odessa & Midland, Texas; one of the places where U.S. Oil is making it big right now, also one of the places where our president and his family made and are still making LOTS of money.
Check This Out: My brother said that people doing welding in the oil fields are making from $1,200. to $1,800. A DAY, and the story around Odessa, TX is that they expect this "BOOM" to last about 10 years!

Hi, I am the Old Hippie pictured in the May 31 issue, that was protesting gas prices.I want to apologize to those that were upset with my "name". Many people riddled me with comments about what the hippies did in the 60's & 70's. Let me remind those people that we (Hippies) kept many American men (and now, WOMEN, too), from being drafted!!!
